Waste management up 20% at Vivendi Environnement.

The French multinational environmental services, utilities and transportation group, Vivendi Environnement, reported revenues of EUR6,674 million ($5,900 million) for the first quarter ended 31st March, 2001. This was an increase of 10.4% compared with the same period in 2000. According to the group, internal growth accounted for over 80% of the increase. The group's waste management division, Onyx SA, contributed 20.2% of group revenues in the first quarter of 2001. This amounted to EUR1,348 million, a rise of 19.7% compared with EUR1,127 million ($1,132 million) for 2000.
