PARIS -- If it were a novel, you might title Hedi Slimane's first advertising campaign for Dior Homme "Portrait of a Model as a Young Man."
More character study than fashion shoot, the striking black-and-white photographs of 18-year-old Eric Van Norstrand by Richard Avedon are slated to break in the July issue of Uomo Vogue.
"It's more about a posture, a character, the personage of Dior," Slimane told WWD during an exclusive preview of the ad campaign. "It has more of an institutional value rather than just a seasonal fashion message."
