Jul. 3--Call centers are growing across the nation at a rate of 20 percent a year, employing between 3 million and 7 million people in 70,000 call centers in the United States, according to the Incoming Calls Management Institute, an organization specializing in call center management.
The Sacramento region is one of the areas participating in that call center boom.
