Pennsylvania Labor and Industry Secretary Johnny J. Butler today announced that Gov. Tom Ridge has appointed Robert E. Moore, 46, of Reeders, Monroe County, as deputy secretary for safety and standards.

"Bob's experience in business and government will be a tremendous asset to the department in his new role as deputy secretary for safety and standards," Butler said. "His leadership will ensure the Administration's continued success in reducing workplace injuries in Pennsylvania."

As deputy secretary, Moore will direct the bureaus of Labor Law Compliance, Occupational and Industrial Safety, and PENNSAFE.
