Jul. 4--Local electronics maker Pemstar Inc. is joining the Russell 2000 Index, a widely watched barometer of small company stocks.
Pemstar's market value will place it among the stocks in that list, chief financial officer Bill Kullback confirmed.
The selection will give Pemstar a higher profile in trading markets, chief executive officer Al Berning said in an announcement.
"It is evidence of our strong year-over-year growth and further enhances our visibility within the investment community," Berning said in a written release.
