BEN FRANKLIN STORES, INC. TO OPEN COMPANY-OWNED CRAFT STORES
CAROL STREAM, Ill., Sept. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Ben Franklin Stores, Inc., wholesaler to the nation's largest chain of franchised variety and craft specialty retail units, today announced that it has formed a new company to construct and operate company-owned retail craft stores -- a move that will strengthen its franchise system.
The new firm, Ben Franklin Crafts, Inc., will unveil two units in the New England area early in 1990. These stores will sell only craft-related merchandise and will be developed with funds generated from within Ben Franklin.
