Jul. 5--Walking into Comstock's Bindery & Bookshop in downtown Auburn reminds you of the ending of "Raiders of the Lost Ark."
In the movie, the camera zooms out to reveal that the small man pushing the boxed Ark of the Covenant actually is inside a cavernous warehouse where endless stacks of crates loom everywhere.
Outside, Comstock's plays small, too. Inside, it zooms, getting bigger and bigger, replete with gloriously used, old-smelling hardbacks, paperbacks, magazines, and rows and rows of worlds waiting for another curious soul to plunk down a few bucks.
