HONG KONG, July 5 Asia Pulse - Hong Kong's Chief Executive, Tung Chee-hwa, will visit Washington D.C. next week, and will meet President Bush on July 11, a government spokesman said.
"The Chief Executive will take the opportunity to emphasize the importance to Hong Kong of extending Normal Trade Relations status for China. Mr Tung will also meet with other officials of the US Administration and members of the US Congress. Mr. Tung will brief them on the business opportunities for Hong Kong and American firms which will flow from China's accession to the WTO," the spokesman added.
