Flip-flops, the onomatopoeic sandals of the shoe world, are summer's biggest hit.
Whatever you choose to call them - flip-flops, slaps, thongs or zories - they are everywhere. Everywhere! At the office, on city streets, lined up at the grocery store, traveling in packs at the mall.
"Tourists wear them, and the young kids. You see them on the weekends, but it's not the office workers," insists Mark Moates, a Fort Worth shoe store owner.
Obviously Moates has not looked closely at the feet of Stephanie Lewis, guide editor at Shuz magazine. She has a pair of flip-flops under her desk. "I ...
