New Congressional lineup takes on healthcare issues
Healthcare issues are prominent on the 101st Congress' agenda. Changes in party leadership and the makeup of health-related committees could affect the outcome of the debate.
Issues that will be extensively debated include coverage of the uninsured, long-term care financing, physician payment reform, restrictions on patient referrals, and revision of unrelated business income tax provisions.
