MOBILE, Ala.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 9, 2001
Weeks of drilling 5,000 feet into the McIntosh salt dome formation has been completed and a leaching process begun as Bay Gas Storage Company (Nasdaq: ENSI) continues the construction of its second natural gas storage cavern in McIntosh, Alabama.
The new cavern, when complete, will have a total working gas capacity of 3.5 million MMBtu, more than doubling Bay Gas' current capacity. The $35 million project will be constructed in two phases.
