Told ya so. Told ya so. Cliff Miller and his wife Iris, who started TurboLinux but vacated the place a few months ago, letting professional management take it public, are back with a new venture called Mountain View Data Inc, a company they quietly incorporated last month (CSN No 372).
An official announcement was made Tuesday.
Unlike TurboLinux, Mountain View is supposed to be a Linux-based outsource storage service provider (SSP) making use of commodity hardware and focused on the PacRim. It expects to have data centers in Silicon Valley and Tokyo by Q1, funded by a first round that closes in December.
