Microsoft's lawyers are bucking those amici curiae briefs that AOL, the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA), the Computer & Communications Industry Association (CCIA) and the Project to Promote Competition & Innovation in the Digital Age (ProComp) want to file in the appeal.
Microsoft's latest filing with the Court of Appeals Monday, three working days after those organizations asked the court's leave to put their two cents in, brands the three "interlocking" trade associations as front operations for its biggest competitors, the old self-styled Gang of Four, Sun, Oracle, IBM and Netscape (now AOL).
