Opal Thomas Hunter Dupin was an elementary school teacher for 43 years in Clark County, Covington and Frankfort before retiring from Robert Johnson Elementary School in Fort Thomas.
''She really loved teaching and working with the kids,'' said Mrs. Dupin's stepson, Tom Dupin of Silver Springs, Md. ''After she retired, she continued to tutor children in reading for several years.''
Mrs. Dupin, of Florence, died Sunday afternoon at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South in Edgewood.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Covington and was a former Sunday School teacher.
