The European Parliament adopted the report by Angelika Niebler (EPP, Germany) in Strasbourg on July 5, on the "proposal for a regulatory framework for radio spectrum policy in the European Community" (co-decision, first reading) by 481 votes to 11 with 13 abstentions. The Regulation would, among other things, establish a general methodology for harmonisation of the use of radio spectrum in the European Union. The principal amendments adopted by Parliament concern the transfer of responsibilities.
