Montreal--On October 30, the Assembly of Quebec Bishops (AEQ) issued a statement dealing with the changes resulting from the provincial government's abolition of confessional schools last June. The bishops said that parents and parish communities must play a larger part in the education of children in the faith because "the education of the faith...will no longer be taught in school."
