According to the data given by the Rare-earth Administrative Office of the State Planning Committee, in 2000 the export increment of rare earth products was slowed down, the structure of exported rare earth was continuously improved and the foreign exchange earning rose significantly. 46 700 tons of rare earth products was exported in 2000 (excluding rare earth permanent magnetic materials, similarly hereinafter), a little rise over previous year. In the total rare earth oxides accounts for 15 000 tons, rare earth metals 12 500 tons and rare earth salts 19 000 tons.
