A hat is like a roof we wear. We can't change the weather, but wearing a at keeps the weather from bothering us too much.

Hats were probably invented long ago when someone put fur over his head in cold weather. Hot weather hats are just as old. Perhaps someone invented them by shading her head with a large leaf or animal skin in the summer.
