A new study from InfoTrends Research Group projects that the European Low End digital camera market (sub-1,000 Euro) is growing at a compound annual growth rate of 37% through 2006. Unit sales will grow from over 4 million in 2001 to 19.8 million in 2006. Revenues generated from digital camera sales will reach 1.7 billion Euro in 2001 and grow at a compound annual rate of 17% to reach 3.8 billion Euro in 2006.
