A thermoset resin composite sandwich that is said to offer an exceptionally high stiffness-to-weight ratio has been developed by Moldite Technologies, Novi, Mich., a joint venture by Venture Industries, Fraser, Mich., and Moldite Inc., Novi, Mich. Designated Moldite, the material is very light and actually floats, with specific gravity for most structures under 1.0.
