Chicago's Curt Teich & Company (1898-1978) was the world's largest volume printer of postcards, printing postcards for all the states of the United States, all the provinces of Canada and some 60 foreign countries.
But Teich was not alone in the business. There were thousands of other postcard companies large and small in the early part of the 20th century. And competition in the industry was fierce.
