For the 11th consecutive year, the Mayo Clinic made it onto the honor roll of U.S. News and World Report's annual listing of the 16 best hospitals in the country. And for the 11th straight year, it came in second after Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.
The national magazine compiles its rankings through recommendations by specialists, mortality rates at each of the hospitals and data from annual surveys by the American Hospital Association.
