When Charles Ness talks about the history of his church and the history of his family, it brings tears to his eyes.
A local historian and an expert on the history of Ness Church, a local landmark, he has worked for the past two months to save a granary that served as the church's building in the 1800s and a home to Ness' ancestors until the mid-19th century.
His work came to fruition Friday as the granary was loaded onto a truck and carried through open fields and down gravel roads where it was placed on a new foundation next door to the restored Ness Church.
