Jul. 18--Some Mesilla Park residents are opposed to a local wholesale plant/flower nursery's expansion request, which will go before the Extraterritorial Zoning Commission on Thursday evening.
Aldershot of New Mexico Inc. is requesting a zone change for three parcels, or 76.75 acres, for its Mesilla Park nursery. The commission meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday in the commission chambers of the Dona Ana County courthouse at 251 W. Amador Ave.
Aldershot wants to rezone the property from residential to light industrial district.
