BELL ATLANTIC ANNOUNCES WEST GERMAN SUBSIDIARY;
VON SIMSON NAMED PRESIDENT OF BELL ATLANTIC GMBH
PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Bell Atlantic Corp. (NYSE: BEL) announced today that Bell Atlantic GmbH will oversee the development of the company's business in West Germany.
Bell Atlantic also announced that John von Simson, managing director of Sorbus GmbH, Bell Atlantic's computer maintenance company in West Germany, will be president and managing director of the new subsidiary. In this new position, von Simson will become Bell Atlantic's senior executive in West Germany.
