The sustained high price of LPG in the international market has led to a lasting slackness in the LPG import in China. Following the import reduction last year, the import amount in the first quarter this year made another drop of 19.4%, being 1.0188 million tons less than 1.2644 million tons in the same period of last year. Besides, the import amount reduced from 364 900 tons in February to 327 000 tons in March. Reasons for the import reduction are as follows:
(1) The CIF price has been kept on the high side.
