LOCAL RESTAURATEUR Butch Butt remembers it well. Those hot summer afternoons when the men in his family caught crabs with strings and chicken necks from the jetty in front of their big shingled beach house in Willoughby.
The women in the family boiled the crabs and sat in rockers on the porch that wrapped around their waterfront home and picked the tasty meat from the shells.
Then came the best part. ``We'd have huge platters of crab cakes for dinner,'' Butt said.
