Harlem, NY's famous soul food restaurant, Sylvia's, recently opened its first express outlet New York's John F. Kennedy airport and if it succeeds, the outlet could be the first of many, opening up yet another growth avenue for the company, according to Crain 2' New York Business (June 25).
So far, the family owned business has done a good job of building on what began in 1962 as a 35-seat luncheonette. In addition to its new fast food outlet, the company now has two restaurants, including a full-service eatery in Atlanta, GA.
