PEAS & LENTILS - Exports of Lentils through May 1 were up 40% to 67.4 million pounds. U.S. exports to Spain, which accounted for 27% of the total, were up 35% to 18.8 million pounds, while exports to Sierra Leone were up 176% to 11.7 million pounds.

U.S. exports of Chickpeas for the first four months of 2001 were down 42% or 4.6 million pounds. Exports to Canada, Spain and Italy, collectively account for 66% of the total.
