Attendance at the Halcyon Attractions Corp.'s Wild River Country in North Little Rock is up 60 percent from last year, according to Hugh Hall, owner and president of the Toronto company.
By this time last year, Wild River Country had 35,185 in attendance. So far this year, 56,340 have visited the water park.
Hall said increased season-pass sales are largely responsible for the increased attendance. The company began marketing the season passes at a discounted rate of $39.99 at Christmas, followed by an early-bird program with season passes for $49 that ended in February and a preseason program with passes priced at $59 that ended May 25.
