By now, everybody has an offensive cell phone story to top the last offensive cell phone story they told a couple of months ago. Like rats, cell phone users multiply, racking up the roaming charges.
Last week, cell phones were in the news when the MBTA announced that the transportation agency has granted a contract to a Chicago company to wire the subways for cell phone usage. The wiring of the underground could take two years. By then, who can imagine what new features will be added to cell phones for further disruption of the public tranquillity?
All I know is that I saw - and heard - two guys having a conference call, via cell speakerphone, on Hanover Street in ...
