Wittke, Medicine Hat's biggest employer, makes the world's most efficient dumpster-handling vehicles
In addition to making garbage trucks, Witke Waste Equipment Ltd. used to manufacture three-quarters of the dumpster bins used in western Canada. By the 1990s, however, the Medicine Hat company's increasingly high-tech line of garbage trucks had hit the ditch.
