NO OTHER GROUP OF CANADIANS EXPERIENCES SUCH HIGH RATES OF POVERTY, as much family and community distress, as do Aboriginals. We deserve criticism at Inroads for not having devoted an earlier issue to "Aboriginal choices." A journal seeking to influence policy should have done more earlier.
The appropriate response to the situation is not miserabilisme. More Aboriginals are graduating from postsecondary institutions than ever before.
