As the electronic DJ's inaugural Area:One tour heads to DTE Energy Music Theatre this weekend for the first of two Detroit dates, comparisons to the heady early days of Lollapalooza are already cropping up.
Featuring an eclectic cast of musical characters _ including Outkast, Incubus, Nelly Furtado and Moby himself _ the new event certainly resembles the spirit of Perry Farrell's groundbreaking festival, which one decade ago cornered the blossoming alterna-rock market and became a generational touchstone.
