Now a British filmcrew has taken the last remaining survivor back to pay tribute to his 1,415 shipmates who died with her THE wreckage of HMS Hood, the massive Royal Navy warship sunk by the Germans in May, 1941 with the loss of 1,415 lives, has been found by underwater explorers almost two miles beneath the Atlantic.
Experts using remote-controlled sonar to scan the dark and icy depths successfully pinpointed the remains of the Hood on Sunday. They have promised that the precise location of the wreck will remain a secret.
