Jul. 24--WILKES-BARRE, Pa.--Now that the addition of two new decks to Park -- Lock North is nearly complete, Mayor Tom McGroarty would like to add at least 60 more spaces to Park -- Lock East.
Looking at the top of the North Washington Street garage, McGroarty said he can't imagine why the parking garage was built without the third level extending all the way over the first and second levels.
The 270-space garage was built in 1986 during Mayor Tom McLaughlin's term. McGroarty said expanding the third level could provide another 60 spots.
