NEW PRODUCTION PLANT APPROVED FOR PHILADELPHIA INQUIRER AND DAILY NEWS

PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- The Philadelphia Inquirer and Philadelphia Daily News today announced plans for a $300 million production plant that will bring magazine quality color to the two newspapers.

EuGene Falk, executive vice president and general manager of Philadelphia Newspapers Inc. (PNI), publisher of The Inquirer and Daily News, said ground will be broken for the printing and distribution facility on Oct. 17, at a 46-acre site in Upper Merion Township, near Conshohocken, in Montgomery County, Pa.
