``Would You Believe?'' by Tom Harpur (McClelland & Stewart Inc., $15.95, 236 pages).
Tom Harpur, an Anglican priest, tackles many of the core theological questions that often confront people who seek God. For instance: Is the Bible the word of God? Is there life after death? Why does God allow evil and suffering? Harpur writes in a refreshingly honest manner, acknowledging that he, too, struggles with doubt. The book, subtitled ``Finding God Without Losing Your Mind,'' argues that faith is intellectually valid _ more so, even, than lack of faith.
