The board of Cooper Cameron Corporation (NYSE: CAM) has elected Charles M. Sledge as vice president and controller. He has overall responsibility for all internal and external accounting functions, including consolidated financial reporting and SEC filings, for Cooper Cameron and its subsidiaries, and reports to Thomas R. Hix, senior vice president and chief financial officer. Previously, Sledge had been with Stage Stores Inc. since 1996, serving most recently as senior vice president-Finance and treasurer.
