Mazda has enraged dealers and distributors in at least two European countries as it tries to take control of its vehicle sales networks from independent importers.
Mazda dealers in the United Kingdom are "starving for cars" as Mazda Motor Europe negotiates to take over import rights from the independent distributor Mazda Cars UK Ltd.
And in a Madrid court on June 28, attorneys for Augusto Rodriguez-Villa, former independent distributor, filed a E198 million liability action against Mazda and three of its executives for unfairly taking away his distributorship.
