Comfortable shoes are crucial to the health care industry. Physicians, for example, do not have nine-to-five desk jobs. They're typically on the move, from exam room to exam room, bed to bed, hospital to clinic to hospital.
This factor gives rise to a crucial problem for the industry: Clinical data often is one step behind caregivers. For instance, a lab test result may not yet be in a patient's file that a physician is reviewing. Or a patient encounter is interrupted when a physician has to hunt down a paper file or look for data on a computer down the hall.
