The Maine Township Hall in Park Ridge was designed by the son of one of the most famous architects in American history, and the township thinks more people ought to know about it.
Frank Lloyd Wright Jr. was an accomplished architect in his own right who labored all his life in the shadow of his famous father.
The younger Wright, who went by the name "Lloyd Wright" professionally, worked mostly in Southern California, not the Midwest. This makes the fact that the Maine Township building is one of his even more intriguing, says township supervisor Bob Dudycz.
