According to a research developed by FGV (Fundacao Getulio Vargas) energy power rationing program, the valuation of the US$Dollar, high interest rates and the Argentinean crisis have provoked a drop in the installed capacity of the Brazilian industrial complex. It decreased from 83,9% in April 2001, to 81,1% in July. In capital goods sector the drop reached 83,6% in April to 76,4% in July 2001.
