Jul. 27--CenturyTel Inc. pleaded to the Arkansas Public Service Commission during a public hearing Thursday to let it alter extended-local calling plans costing it millions of dollars.
The PSC staff and state attorney general's office support the changes, but they've caused confusion among CenturyTel customers. Dozens of customers, some of whom traveled from Northwest Arkansas, appeared before the three-member commission.
