DuPont proposes that a blend of 25-90% fluoropolymer fibre and 75-10% of one or more other fibres can be used as friction modifiers in load-bearing products such as fabric liners in rubbers, composites, and bearing and sealing fabrics.
To illustrate this, the yarn was used as a fabric in an automotive application involving a stabilizer bar bushing.
