CHARLESTON, S.C., Sept. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- As Hurricane Hugo approaches the Carolina Coast, one the the businesses that fears severe damage is Atlantec Seafarms, a high technology shrimp farm operation located on an island off Charleston, S.C.
The shrimp farm, partly owned by Miami-based QDA Investment firm, has received attention from U.S. and international aquaculture experts since this first year's shrimp crop was expected to break records for its size and volume per acre.
