PERTH, Aug 1 Asia Pulse - Woodside Petroleum Ltd (ASX:WPL), operator of the Greater Sunrise project in the Timor Sea, remains confident that issues leading to Philips Petroleum's decision to defer plans to build a Timor Sea gas pipeline to Darwin can be resolved.
But Paul Kitson, Woodside's business manager Timor Sea gas business unit, today said he was sympathetic to issues facing Phillips in the Timor Sea.
"Phillips' decision in the pipeline was Phillips alone to make, they had the contract with Multiplex and certainly it is their right to make that decision," Mr Kitson said.
