A Woodstock woman Tuesday accused former Hooved Animal Humane Society Director Donna Ewing of tricking her into hiding donor information to possibly compete with the group Ewing had founded.
"I read (in the newspaper) where HAHS alleged she had taken files, and here they were, on my kitchen table," said Jacque Hollander, who once was a friend of Ewing.
The statements were written in an affidavit filed in McHenry County Court Tuesday as part of a move to get two lawsuits dismissed. The suits, filed by Ewing against the Hooved Animal Humane Society, charge defamation by each board member and failure to adequately ...
