NDC ACQUIRES CREDIT CARD MERCHANT PROCESSING BUSINESS
OF FIRST NATIONAL BANK OF MARYLAND
ATLANTA, Sept. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- National Data Corp. (NASDAQ: NDTA) has reached a definitive agreement to acquire the credit card merchant processing business of Baltimore-based First National Bank of Maryland.
The transaction follows close on the heels of NDC's acquisition of Philadelphia-based First Pennsylvania Bank's merchant portfolio in July. Ten months before that, the company bought Chemical Bank's credit card merchant operation, the fifth largest portfolio in the country.
