GARDAI yesterday appealed for help in identifying the body of a man found stuffed inside a suitcase in the Royal Canal.
In a highly unusual move, detectives issued a picture of the bloated and battered corpse.
Garda spokesman Supt John Farrelly told a press conference at Garda HQ in Phoenix Park, Dublin, that they had not made the decision lightly.
He said: "We understand this picture may cause distress to the public but it is our hope it will help us to identify this man.
"We find it necessary at this time ...
